Virginia CSRN leadership
The Virginia CSRN is led by a multidisciplinary team of experts from VCU, Inova and Sentara Health.
About the Virginia CSRN
The Virginia Cancer Screening Research Network (CSRN) serves as an entry-point and enrollment center for CSRN studies while providing expert insight into the study design and trial start-up processes. The extensive state-wide network ensures enrollment of participants who represent the commonwealth’s diverse population, oversees data management of CSRN studies and provides comprehensive follow-up services and testing for participants.
Regional partners
Building on long-standing academic and community partnerships, the Virginia CSRN leverages its partner’s large geographic service areas across Virginia, as well as an established track record of community trust-building and equitable, inclusive clinical trial recruitment.
Leading these efforts is a team of primary care, oncology, preventive services and community engagement experts across three health systems, a medical school, two cancer centers — including an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center — as well as a translational science center and robust network of primary care clinics and providers. With a shared commitment to closing gaps in screening and cancer care, the Virginia CSRN is working to advance these efforts nationally, informing national guidelines and screening practices.
